Starting with the premise that we are all busy and productive people who want nothing but life to be as unencumbered and enjoyable as possible, we offer traffic survival school with this sentiment, and conduct our classes in the evening, in-person as well as virtually via online zoom classes.
What can we do as individuals to keep our lives as simple as possible? What choices can we make that will foster order and peace?
Traffic Survival School reviews the basic rules of the road but also aids in analyzing why choices are made. Our instructors stand behind the message and encourage drivers to take ownership of hazardous driving behavior while behind the wheel.
Drivers who have been notified by the Motor Vehicle Division that they must attend Traffic Survival School include those who have:
You will have 60 days to take the class after MVD assigns TSS to you or your Drivers’ license may be suspended.
Do I have to go to Traffic Survival School (TSS) even though I have already paid the fine for running a red light?
YES. When you pay the fine or go before the Judge, the Court sends the conviction information to MVD. This conviction is a two-point violation. If convicted of a red light violation, the person must attend a TSS class. If Defensive Driving Class (DDC) is taken in lieu of the fine or going before the Judge, then TSS class is not required.
How do I pay for the class?
You may pay for class via Zelle (480.398.0948), Cash or Credit/Debit Card ( https://pay.roadready-tss.com/ ). No personal checks accepted.
If I did not receive my letter in time, and my license is suspended what will happen once I take this class?
Once you have completed your 8-hour class and received your Certificate of Completion, you will be eligible to apply for reinstatement of your license online at azmvdnow.gov or at any MVD location. Please be sure to retain the Certificate of Completion for your files. It is your proof of completing the course.
What do I need to bring to the class?
You will need to bring a photo ID and copy of your letter of assignment from ADOT or Court Order (that orders you to class).
Will there be breaks?
No. Since each night is four hours, scheduled breaks will not be taken. Feel free to bring your own food and drink with you to class.
Will TSS take points off of my driving record?
NO. TSS is mandated by MVD and must be attended within (60) days of the letter you received, or your license will be suspended. We are not a Defensive Driving School, which is an option through the Courts for tickets that have 2- or 3- point violation. If you have already paid the fine. you no longer have the option to attend Defensive Driving Class for that violation.
